Start a diagram

Choose Create New ER Diagram or Open sample diagram on Home. Select your database, then double-click a table to edit its columns and constraints. Changes are saved locally; a failed save shows an alert and a retry action.

Back up and exchange files

Export → Save to ERD file creates a complete document backup. Import ERD and ERM from Home. For SQL or DBML, create a diagram first and use Import in the canvas. Other formats may not preserve all visual information and settings.

Connect an AI provider

Open Home → Settings → AI. Enter your provider, model and API key, then use Test connection. API billing is separate from a chat subscription. A 401 response usually indicates credentials or access; a 429 response may indicate quota or rate limits. Read the provider guidance shown in the app.

Share with your team

Start sharing on the host and give coworkers the address displayed by the app. Use a trusted local network and check local network permissions and firewall access. Viewers can read and chat but cannot edit the original. Stop sharing when the session is finished.

Restore your work

Import a saved ERD backup to restore a document. Undo can reverse editing changes within the available history; it is not a substitute for external backups. Copies already exported or shared must be managed separately.
